At Wokingham Psychology we have access to a number of different psychological professionals. Our team includes Dr Christian Buckland, Doctor of Psychology in Psychotherapy and Counselling. Dr Lalitha de Silva, Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in general psychiatry, eating disorders, women's mental health and mood disorders. Dr Georgina Taylor-Adriaansen, Doctor of Philosophy in Counselling Psychology and Chartered member of the British Psychological Society.
The different professionals at Wokingham Psychology enable us to provide a wide range of treatments which can include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Existential Psychotherapy, Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy, family therapy and couples counselling. Our Consultant Psychiatrists are also able to talk through the possible benefits and side effects of medication such as anti depressants, anti anxiety and sleep medication and if it is felt appropriate can prescribe at the end of an assessment.
Counselling and Therapy locations
Our team work in different locations in Berkshire including The Berkshire Independent Hospital in Reading, The Cardinal Clinic in Windsor, Woosehill Medical Centre in Wokingham and Wokingham Medical Centre in Wokingham town centre, this enables us to be able to offer appointments usually within a week, often on the same day if it is necessary and appropriate. A number of our specialists have access to inpatient facilities at the Cardinal Clinic in Windsor and the Priory Hospital in Woking for those who require more intense treatment.
